About Us

The B20A Isn't the Ugly Stepchild.

Welcome to Mikado Motorsport Supply.

The B20A platform isn't just the "Not-a-B-Series" B-Series. It’s the most underrated, high-torque motor Honda ever dropped. While everyone else is talking about H-swapping or actually struggling with a Frankenstein B20B VTEC, we’re becoming the hub for the BA4 / BA5 Prelude engines.

We exist for one reason: we wanted a place to document our build and bring the B20A back to life. Finding parts to fit these cars is a nightmare—we want to change that and make the platform more accessible. That’s why we made our conversion rods and our conversion harnesses. There is no aftermarket. We are the aftermarket. We’re just the hub for the parts and the community.

B20A Engine

Built, Not Bought

We know the struggle of the B20A because we live it. Mikado is about bringing back that "built in my garage from a box of scraps" feel that’s been lost over the years. We’re reclaiming that energy while building a community of like-minded owners through free meets and socials.

Why Mikado? It’s been decades since the '90s. We have manufacturing tools now that didn't exist when these cars were new. It's time to stop praying for answers on dead 2004 forum threads with broken Photobucket images. We’re taking it back.

Mikado Conversion Rods

The Dev List:

  • B20A Custom Conversion Rods: Direct-fit engineering that opens up a massive catalog of aftermarket B-Series piston options.
  • OBD0 to OBD1 Harnesses: The only way to actually tune your 3rd Gen Prelude without the headache.
  • ITB Kits: Pure N/A induction for the legends (like us) who refuse to go turbo.
  • Performance Cams: Currently in R&D for a real drop-in solution.
  • Hondata Base Maps: Seamless support for your build with custom maps for OBD1 conversions.

Tested on Our Own Metal

We don't sell what we wouldn't run ourselves. We use our own cars—if we have a problem, we figure out a solution. If something is listed on our site, there’s a good chance it’s on one of our cars right now. That’s how we know it works.

The Mikado Repository: No Gatekeeping

Keeping these cars running needs all of us. We’re ready to handle the cost of test-fitting and development, but all knowledge is good knowledge. If you know something we don’t, get in contact—it helps us all. We’re here to share the data, not gatekeep it. If you’re too stubborn to leave the B20A, you’ve found your people.

This is Mikado.
Built for the redline. Built for the night.
