What You See Is What You Get.
Every product listed on Mikado Supply has been photographed by us, on our bench, in our workshop. If it's in the shop, we've had it in our hands.
We don't use AI to generate product images, 3D renders, or synthetic photography. The part in the photo is the part you're buying.
Backgrounds Only — Never the Product.
Occasionally, we use AI tools to clean up or replace the background of a product photo. Think: removing a cluttered workbench or isolating a part against a clean dark surface.
The product itself — the physical object in the image — is always a real, unedited photograph. AI is never used to alter, enhance, or generate the product being sold.
Why We Do This
Small Team. Honest Prices.
We're a tiny operation. There's no photography studio, no professional lighting rig, no dedicated media team. Just us, a camera, and a bench covered in Prelude parts.
Using AI to clean up a background saves us time and keeps our overhead low — which means we can keep our prices honest. We'd rather put that money into R&D and stock than a backdrop and a photographer.
