Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected and used when you visit, order from or otherwise use https://mikado.supply ("the Site").

The Site is operated by O.T REINITZ, D.D WRIGHT & C.J ZAGDANSKI (ABN 64 187 595 696) trading as Mikado Motorsport Supplies. We are a partnership carrying on business in Australia. Our contact email is support@mikado.supply.

We collect the information you give us directly, and some information automatically:

• At checkout: your name, email address, delivery address and phone number (so we can deliver your order and contact you about it), and your payment card details, which are entered directly with our payment provider and never stored by us.
• Order history: what you buy, when, how it is shipped and the amounts paid (including any GST), which we keep for our tax and accounting records.
• Newsletter: your email address when you sign up to our mailing list, together with the date and time of your consent.
• Automatically: when you browse the Site, our self-hosted analytics tool (Umami) records a randomly generated identifier, the pages you visit, the date and time, the type of browser and device, and the page you came from. We do not use ad networks, marketing pixels or third-party tracking cookies.

• to process and deliver your orders, and to send you order updates and tax invoices
• to answer your enquiries and process returns
• to send you the newsletter you signed up for (only with your consent, and only until you unsubscribe)
• to keep the Site secure and improve it (basic usage statistics)
• to meet our legal obligations (for example, the tax records the ATO requires us to keep)

• Stripe (USA) — processes your card payment. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us. Stripe stores transaction data to the extent required.
• Shippit (Australia) — arranges your parcel with AusPost, and your delivery details are passed to it for that purpose.
• Purelymail (Australia) — the email service used to send your order emails and the newsletter.
• Our own analytics (Umami, self-hosted by us) — receives the basic usage statistics described above.

Some of these providers are outside Australia. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we make reasonable efforts to ensure it is handled in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing by a third party.

We only disclose personal information to a government agency where we are legally required or permitted to do so, or where it is reasonably necessary to comply with a legal process.

You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to stop us using it in a particular way. Email support@mikado.supply and we will respond in a reasonable time. If we do not resolve your concern, you can make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

We keep order and customer records for as long as the law requires (generally at least 5 years for tax and accounting records) and delete or anonymise other personal information when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected.

The Site uses your browser's local storage to remember your shopping cart and your selected country. Our self-hosted analytics stores a randomly generated identifier so it can count visits without following you. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

We do not use automated decision-making (including profiling) that has legal or similarly significant effects on you, as required under the Privacy (Automated Decision-Making) Amendment Regulations 2025, which apply from 10 December 2026.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last changed.
